Over this past weekend we had the profound privilege of sharing in an intimate wedding celebration for the genuinely lovely Alyssa Campanella and her equally gracious groom Torrence Coombs.  You may recognize the former Miss USA and her Reign/Tudors star husband but to The Why We Love they will forever be etched in our hearts as one of our dear, sweet, loving, clients.  Their elegant celebration was romantic, timeless, and regal.  It was perfectly set amongst the vast vineyards and olive groves of Sunstone Villa which is perched perfectly among the rolling hills of the Santa Ynez Valley.  The day was more magical than any of us could have dreamed and we are thrilled to share with you their exclusive announcement on People Style Watch and a few sneak peeks over on The Knot! This is all we’ll be sharing here for for now but you can catch a couple more over on our Instagram (affectionately known lately as our microblog) or you’ll be able to read the full story and see even more images from their celebration weekend in the Fall print issue of The Knot.  We loved working with the incredible couple and amazing team at Cake & Punch not to mention the incredible host of vendors.  We can’t wait to share more details in the coming months!

These two… There are no words to describe the depth of love that pours out from these two.  Spending a few hours with them left us feeling like better people.  While we were grateful for the few swift hours, we left wanting more time.  The passion that exists in their space is effortless.  It made us long for that kind of passion ourselves.  It reminded us of out first few years together and was a good reminder to not forget just how good we’ve got it!  These two are legendary in our books.  Their love is one that poets and musicians weep over and write about.

A little sneak peek at Sarah and Mike’s emotional elopement session at the beautiful Julia Pfeiffer State Beach in Big Sur California.  These two are legendary!

It’s hard to believe that 2015 has already come and gone and 2016 is well on it’s way!  It’s safe to say that 2015 was one of the most eventful years for They Why We Love both on personal and professional levels.  We celebrated our son’s first year of life (thus celebrating the survival of year one of parenting), we captured wonderful wedding celebrations both near and far, and amongst all the other highs and lows of the year we took on one of the greatest adventures of our dreams as a family and wrapped up the year with a move to the central coast of California.  Sure moving to the central coast from Los Angeles isn’t like moving to another state or country, but when you have called a place home for your whole life (and for the near 11 years of life Kevin and I have shared together) then leaving all you’ve come to know and love is bit nerve wrecking.  For our family and our small family run business the magnitude of this move is so significant and is drenched in stories of both faith and heart ache that I could go on and on about for days.  Perhaps another time I will, but for now we just wanted to share the exciting news and announce to all the interested parties that WE HAVE MOVED!  In mid November we took occupancy into our new home in Los Osos which is a quaint beach town in San Luis Obispo county situated right on the infamous Morro Bay.  Talk about adventure!  As if the move itself wasn’t adventure enough, we walk out our door to the sounds of waves crashing along the jagged coastline of Montana de Oro and walk up the street to access hiking trails galore!  For us it is paradise and we are thrilled for the experiences God will bring us in 2016 in this beautiful land we can now call home.

If you haven’t heard the news (probably because we haven’t officially announced it yet), The Why We Love has relocated to the Central Coast!  We are so thrilled to be here and will be sure to share a bit more about the recent move soon.  For now we just wanted to share one image from a recent wedding in San Luis Obispo at the incredible La Cuesta Ranch!  There was no better way to celebrate our new residency then with this couple and at this venue!  Congratulations Jenn and Ryan!  We are over the moon for you two:)

What an absolute honor it was to share in Casey and Brea’s intimate Paso Robles Elopement at Venteux Vineyards.  The day was equal parts spontaneous and serendipitous and 100% perfection!  We cannot get enough of Brea’s amazing Free People gown! Stay tuned for more from are time with them frolicking in fields and vineyards.  It was a central coast dream and totally amazing!

What an absolute honor it was to share in James + Robin’s sweet Malibu Elopement.  These two traveled to California with their siblings and best friends to begin an epic adventure together. The entire time spent with this kind hearted, fun loving, and absolutely hysterical gang felt like a dream!  Over the course of several months, we worked with them long distance leading up to their nuptials.  Naturally, when the day arrived we were elated to meet them in person.  With incredible warmth and sincerity, they far surpassed any idea or expectation we could have even dreamed up.

With just a few close loved ones in attendance, Robin and James carefully curated the entire celebration and moved towards the day with equal thoughtfulness as that of a 100 person wedding.  Robin chose a vintage Mexican Wedding dress (which was fitting seeing they were married on Cinco de Mayo) and paired it with simple nude slip ons and a vibrant crown of peonies.  It was evident she put heart and soul into the details that mattered to her most and flowers were an obvious priority.  Altogether the bright and colorful floral crown and matching bridal bouquet, the miss matched bridesmaids bouquets, and the delicate floral pattern of Jame’s tie was a gorgeous ensemble against the golden wheatgrass of Malibu hills and the grey sand shoreline of El Matador State Beach.  We adore you James + Robin.  The depth of gratitude we have for having shared in your celebration cannot be put into words.
