We love, love, LOVED this awesome wedding down at Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park in Carlsbad, CA. There couldn’t have been a better setting for Mike and Silvia’s laid back intimate wedding. The charm of this place seemed unending with the weathered barns scattered about, the white adobes amongst the succulent covered grounds, and the vibrant pops of terra-cotta and teal blue detailing throughout the property. Add the excitement of meandering peacocks and you have yourself a real California dreamland. Silvia’s dress was probably one of my most favorite details of the day. The fitted champagne dress with it’s orange detailing, plunging neckline, and petite train was absolutely jaw dropping. I love it when brides embrace their own personal style when choosing their bridal wear. Silvia’s dress in combination with her stunning bouquet of succulents, orange dahlias, and red clover were ideal for the setting. You may remember these two from their Love Story session at Huntington Beach. This surf, sand, and sun loving couple wanted nothing more than to finally exchange their vows amongst their closest family and friends. They kept the decor simple to celebrate the existing landscape, but each vibrant detail was well thought and truly expressive of them and their love story. Guests were welcomed into the ceremony by a live acoustic guitarist playing some of the couples favorites. Guests were moved by the sand ceremony which included their daughter Mia. Celebrations continued into the evening with children playing throughout the night and everyone dancing until lights out.
